The Unitronics Jazz OPLC, the fully functional PLC with a two line 16 character inbuilt text display, has just had new variants added to it’s range. The Jazz 2 is faster than previous versions, with a 30 times increase in speed of execution, and has double the memory, rising from 24k to a massive 48k program memory.

Replace that “smart relay” with a real PLC – for the same low price. Jazz™ is a full-function programmable logic controller with onboard I/O and a built-in operator panel. Jazz™ is specifically designed to control small machines and to perform simple-to-medium automation tasks. Compact and economical, Jazz™ enables you to use a low-budget unit without compromising on features and technology.

To program these, you will need the U90 programming software.

We have 8 versions of this with different Inputs and Output configurations, and 4 different front ends, giving us 32 options in total. So we might not have the exact option you need in stock, but we will have something very close. Plus, we get deliveries EVERY week.

The Jazz™ may be a low-cost PLC but there is no compromise on functionality with floating-point maths and PID control available.

Plus two lines 16-character display and plug-in terminals.

Now with a wipe clean flat front (black versions) , ideal for food and pharmaceutical applications, the Jazz™ has the same high functionality and same low price, whichever style is used, and both versions meet IP66 ingress protection.

U90 Ladder

U90 Ladder is the first programming software for early Unitronics’ PLCs. This basic programming software can be used to program the M90/91 & Jazz series of PLC.

The new Jazz™ offers the flexibility of ladder programming (48K Ladder code, virtual), on-board I/O configurations (some models with direct temperature inputs), communication options, such as GSM/SMS, remote access, and MODBUS (Master or Slave) networking. The latest Series 2 Jazz now includes USB programming options.

The Jazz™ HMI application enables you to design up to 60 text screens, using up to 64 HMI variables for the display of time, date, and real-time system data. Jazz™ programming is as easy as it gets – build ladder logic control applications using click-and-drop elements and create your HMI application in the same simple environment.

You can use U90 Ladder and the associated software utilities to program, control, access and download data to and from the PLC remotely and directly.
