Christmas can be a tough time for many people. With this in mind, the team at i4 Automation wanted to do something to raise awareness, generate some funds, and, of course, challenge themselves—to do something they wouldn’t normally do, taking them out of their comfort zone.
On 29th December 2024, some of the i4 Automation team plucked up the courage to do a cold water dip for charity. We raised an amazing £1200 for The Samaritans and we had a blast!
The lake was 5 degrees so it was just a bit chilly…

Hi,
I am the treasurer for Samaritans Milton Keynes, and I wanted to say a huge thank you on behalf of everyone in our Samaritans branch. We are so grateful to Samantha and Holly and colleagues, supported by you as their employer, for doing the sponsored swim at Little Paxton on 29th December. The money they raised (£1,200) is a significant contribution to our branch, which is totally dependent on the generosity of you and others like you.
As a result of your kindness, we are able to continue taking hundreds of calls every week from those who are struggling with life, often at the point where they see no way forward. So by being there for them at their lowest moment, it can be life changing and even life-saving for them.
Thank you for making our work possible, which is fully delivered by volunteers.
